“Hi! My name is Simon Strandberg, I am 29 years old and have been working at Ekman for nearly 4 years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to start as a Trainee before I took on the role as Sales Manager for the Pulp Division.
In my role as Sales Manager I’m working out of the Gothenburg Hub office with sales towards various markets, mainly located in Asia. I also have a lot of contact with our suppliers and it’s important for me to be well informed and have a good understanding about the pulp market and its movements. It’s nice to be able to work with so many different people from different cultures and I really enjoy the different aspects of what it means to work in sales within Ekman and the pulp market. The combination of travel, business, sales and great co-workers with an Ekman team-spirit really makes for a great workplace.
In the next 3-5 years, I see myself continuously growing with Ekman, both on a professional and personal level. I strive to be a driving force in developing our business and I’m looking forward to becoming a more experienced trader and continue to add value to our Pulp division and our partners.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Perhaps over a game of golf or in the mountains skiing.”
