“Hi! My name is Jorge Castillo, I am 39 years old and have been working at Ekman for the last 15 years.  During this time, I have had the opportunity to be in different roles within the Accounting department and also join the IS/IT department.

My current role is Accounting Manager for the Miami Hub office and Global IT Technical Support.  It is a unique role, but one that is constantly evolving, which is what I enjoy about what I do here at Ekman.  The IT role has given me the opportunity to interact with many of my colleagues around the world.  It is really nice to be able to work with so many different people from different cultures and backgrounds.  This opportunity has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally.  I am very grateful to work in a company like Ekman.

In the next 3-5 years I still plan to be with the company and continue to learn and evolve with changes that come my way, as I have done in the past.  I have always been open to taking on new challenges and continuing to develop my skills to add value to my role.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, boating, and offshore fishing (which is pretty much year-round in Miami).”
